2024 Acura Integra Review

The 2024 Acura Integra impresses on just about all fronts by delivering grin-inducing performance with a hearty dose of practicality and class. It isn’t the most luxurious car on the road, but it’s well-made and excels at nearly everything for a relatively modest price.

Is the 2024 Acura Integra a Good Car?

Yes, the 2024 Integra is a great car. It’s fun to drive thanks in part to sharp handling and a choice of two potent engines, and occupants will appreciate the smooth ride afforded by the well-tuned suspension. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, though second-row headroom is a bit limited. Interior fit and finish is excellent, and the infotainment system is easy to operate. The Integra also provides plenty of cargo room.

Should I Buy the 2024 Acura Integra?

The Integra should absolutely be on your shortlist if you’re shopping for a luxury small car. It’s one of the least-expensive options in the segment, and it comes with a healthy amount of features for the price. If you want a more luxurious interior and all-wheel drive, the Audi A3 is a good alternative. Just note that it has a lot less cargo room than the Acura. If you’re willing to pay more, the BMW 2 Series provides fantastic performance and a well-honed interior, as well as strong optional engines. The larger Kia Stinger is another great option, with a much more powerful base engine than the Integra and a longer list of standard features. The Kia isn’t as fuel-efficient as the Acura, though, and both cars are short on rear-row headroom.

2023 vs. 2024 Acura Integra: What’s the Difference?

The 2024 Integra is largely unchanged from the 2023 version. The big news for the 2024 model is the launch of the Type S trim, which includes a 320-horsepower engine, numerous performance upgrades and aggressive styling. It’s set to go on sale in summer 2023.

How Much Is a 2024 Acura Integra?

The 200-horsepower 2024 Acura Integra starts at $31,500 and comes with features such as synthetic leather upholstery and a moonroof. The A-Spec model costs $33,500 and gains LED fog lights, among other equipment. The A-Spec with Technology package, which is available with a manual transmission, starts at $36,500 and has equipment such as microsuede upholstery and a 9-inch touch screen. The 320-horsepower, manual-only Integra Type S opens at $50,800 and brings performance-focused features such as an adaptive damper system and Brembo brakes.

Which Is the Best Acura Integra Model to Buy?

The Integra is reasonably priced, so we recommend spending a little extra to get the A-Spec with the Technology package. For a modest cost increase, the upgrades will make the Integra look sharper and feel significantly nicer. The adaptive damper system will improve the drive, the synthetic suede upholstery will make the interior feel more premium, and the 9-inch touch screen, 16-speaker audio system and wireless smartphone compatibility give it proper modern tech.

How Much Does It Cost to Insure a Acura Integra?

The cost of insuring a Acura Integra will depend on a variety of factors, including your deductible, the level of coverage that you want, and the type of insurance that you choose. Your age, gender, location, credit score, and driving record can also have an impact on your insurance rates.

2024 Acura Integra Versus the Competition

Acura Integra vs. Kia Stinger

The Kia Stinger, which is 4.4 inches longer than the Integra, provides a lot of bang for your buck without many compromises. It has a slightly higher base price than the Acura, but it comes with a more powerful base engine and a longer list of standard tech, comfort and driver-assistance features. The Stinger is available with all-wheel drive and has poised handling, but the Integra is a bit more athletic around curves. The Stinger is also less fuel-efficient than the Integra, and both cars have limited second-row headroom.

Acura Integra vs. Audi A3

The Audi A3 boasts a more luxurious cabin than the Integra and a similarly powerful base engine, and it can be had with all-wheel drive. The base A3 is only slightly more expensive than the Acura, but higher trim levels will significantly boost the Audi’s price. Both cars deliver sporty handling, good fuel economy, relatively smooth rides and spacious cabins, though both vehicles are slim on rear-row headroom. One notable shortcoming for the A3 is its trunk, which is much less spacious than the Integra’s cargo hold.

Integra Interior: Simple, Sporty and (Mostly) Spacious

2024 Integra Interior Quality

The cabin in the 2024 Integra isn’t as opulent as those in some of its rivals, but it still impresses thanks to a modern and understated design, great fit and finish and plenty of soft-touch surfaces. Aluminum accents and available synthetic suede seats lend a sporty feel to the interior.

2024 Integra Infotainment, Bluetooth and Navigation

The Integra’s infotainment system is top-notch. It provides sharp graphics, quick response times and an easy-to-understand interface. There are also plenty of physical toggles and buttons on the steering wheel and center stack to make climate and audio adjustments more convenient.

  • Standard infotainment features: a 7-inch touch screen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free, Bluetooth, a USB port and an eight-speaker audio system
  • Available infotainment features: a 9-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, HD Radio, satellite radio, three additional USB ports and a 16-speaker ELS audio system
  • Additional standard features: a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, automatic climate control, ambient LED interior lighting, keyless entry, push-button start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a moonroof
  • Other available features: dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start and a digital key (lets you lock, unlock and start the vehicle with your smartphone)

2024 Integra Cargo Space

The Integra has a good amount of cargo space for the luxury small car class. The rear cargo area has 24.3 cubic feet of room, and the split-folding rear seats provide additional storage space if needed. The rear liftback also has a wide opening, which makes it easier to load and unload bulky items. One of the only downsides is the Integra’s high cargo floor, which can make stowing and removing heavy objects more difficult.

How Many People Does the 2024 Integra Seat?

The Integra seats five people. The front seats provide plenty of support and comfort, even on long hauls. The rear-row seats are likewise comfortable. There’s plenty of head- and legroom upfront, and there’s plenty of legroom for adults in back. Headroom is somewhat limited in the second row, but overall, the Integra’s cabin is a nice place to spend time.

2024 Integra and Child Car Seats

For installing child safety seats, there are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the Integra’s rear outboard seats. There’s also a tether anchor for the rear middle seat, and you can borrow lower anchors from the adjoining seats when they’re not in use. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety hasn’t evaluated the 2024 model, but the organization gave the LATCH system in the nearly identical 2023 Integra the second-highest rating of Acceptable for its ease of use. The tether anchor for the rear middle seat may be difficult to find and could be mistaken for other hardware.

Integra Performance: A Buttoned-Up Liftback

2024 Integra Engine

The 2024 Integra comes with two engine choices. The base version is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. The sporty Type S comes with a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 320 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Depending on trim, you can opt for either a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) or a six-speed manual. All Integras come with front-wheel drive.

The base turbo-four provides peppy acceleration and enough verve for driving around town and on the highway with minimal drama. It’s not as quick as some rivals — it has a zero-to-60-mph time of 7 seconds — but still provides a solid dose of fun behind the wheel. The Type S engine delivers a big boost in power and is noticeably quicker off the line and when approaching freeway speeds. The base CVT is unobtrusive and mimics a traditional automatic fairly well. The available six-speed manual is a blast, providing short, accurate throws and a more engaging driving experience.

2024 Integra Gas Mileage

The 2024 Integra hasn’t received EPA fuel economy estimates at the time of writing, but the mechanically similar 2023 model is quite fuel-efficient for the luxury small car class. Models with the CVT get 29 to 30 mpg in the city and 36 to 37 mpg on the highway, and opting for the manual transmission cuts efficiency to 26/36 mpg city/highway.

2024 Integra Ride and Handling

The Integra’s sporty nature is enhanced by its handling abilities. Steering is well-weighted and direct, and the Acura is a ton of fun to take around corners. The Integra’s suspension provides a cushioned ride, but it’s firm enough to help the car stay flat around sharper curves. Whether you’re in the driver’s seat or just along for the ride, you’ll appreciate this sedan’s fine balance of comfort and performance.
